It started in North Mississippi, in a small town called Byhalia. I was raised in a blue collar, hard working family where manners weren’t optional they were a way of life. It was "yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir, no sir" from the moment I could talk. We didn’t have a lot of money, but my parents made sure we never went without. Every single year, we took a family vacation. Nothing fancy just camping in Arkansas along the Buffalo River. But hell, that’s exactly what we loved doing.

That’s where the passion began. I was jumping off river cliffs at six years old, completely
immersed in the outdoors. By fourteen, I took my first job bagging groceries at the local store, driven by a piece of advice that stuck with me forever: no matter what you do, do it better than anyone else. I worked hard, moved up to stocker, and eventually ran the register.

"Work hard and do the right thing. And everything else will fall into place."

After a detour through Ole Miss and an eleven year career as a successful insurance agent, I realized my soul wasn't in corporate office work. My passion was in creating, building, and being artistic. I left insurance behind and opened a custom construction company specializing in woodwork building custom decks, patios, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens. I loved working with my hands, but I still wanted to connect with something larger.

Eight months ago, I looked back at a lifetime spent fishing, hunting, hiking, and kayaking, and decided to launch Clear water Trading Co. Building this store completely on my own has been tougher than I ever could have imagined. I’ve run into countless brick walls. But I’m still here, and  I’m  not  giving  up.  I’m  here  to  offer  reliable,  durable  products  backed  by  impeccable customer service the kind that treats people with respect, puts customers over profit margins, and honors the honest, hard working values my parents instilled in me by the river all those years ago.
